In addition to thoughtful design, the 100% affordable housing development at 730 Stanyan will incorporate public art in several areas. The 730 Stanyan team has invited artists and artist teams, with preference for those residing in the Bay Area, to submit qualifications for the commission of public art for the new building. Artists were asked to consider the rich and multilayered history of the Haight Ashbury neighborhood, along with the development's unique location at the gateway to Golden Gate Park.
Public Art Proposal Sharing Session, October 2024
The 730 Stanyan team invited local community members to attend the Public Art community Input Meeting at the Park Branch Library on October 2, 2024. The selected artists Sorell Raino Tsui from ABG Art Group and Jenifer Wofford presented their latest mural designs for the exterior facade of the new 160-unit affordable housing development.
At this phase of the project, the artists will be asked to consider incorporating community feedback into the next iteration of their design. For those who were unable to attend the meeting, we welcome you all to take a brief moment to review and share feedback on the latest designs.
